These are the simple rules for using Beacon Book. By using it, you agree to them.

Who can use Beacon Book
You must be 18 or older to make a sign-up sheet. People who sign up must be adults, signing up for themselves or for their family.
If you are under 18, please do not use Beacon Book.
What Beacon Book does
Beacon Book lets an organizer make a sign-up sheet and share a link to it. It lets people sign up for spots on the sheet.
If you make a sheet
You are in charge of what your sheet asks for and how you use what people tell you. Please:
- ask only for what you need
- ask for no more than a first name about a child
- never ask for passwords, payment card numbers, ID numbers, or health details
- use what people give you only for your sheet
- follow the laws and the rules of your school or group
If you sign up
Give true information. Sign up only for yourself or your family. If you cannot make it, tell the organizer.
What not to do
Please do not:
- send spam or unwanted messages
- pretend to be someone else
- harass or threaten anyone
- collect people’s emails for any use other than your sheet
- break the law or help anyone else break it
- try to break, overload, or get into parts of Beacon Book that are not yours
What you enter
You keep ownership of what you enter. You let us store it and show it as needed to run Beacon Book for you.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.
If rules are broken
We may remove a sheet or stop someone from using Beacon Book if they break these terms, harm others, or if the law requires it.
Keeping things running
We work to keep Beacon Book running well, but we cannot promise it will always work or be free of mistakes. For important events, confirm the details with your group.
Limits on our responsibility
Beacon Book is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for missed events, empty spots, or other indirect losses that come from using it.
Ending your use
You can stop using Beacon Book at any time. You can ask us to delete your information.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using Beacon Book after that, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the following law.
