What leaves this browser
Without an account: your notes stay in this browser. Only anonymous usage counts are sent, and you can turn them off below.
With sync on: your email address, your list of devices, and encrypted notes that BeaconNote can’t read.
Sign-in codes are emailed by our email provider.
Notes are encrypted in this browser before they’re uploaded. The web app is served by BeaconNote, so you trust that code as you would the app.
Counts of steps like “note saved” or “sync turned on”, so we can tell what works. Never what you write, and nothing that identifies you. When this is off, nothing is sent.

BeaconNote follows your system’s light or dark setting.
