Common questions

My iPhone doesn’t have Apple Intelligence. Can I still use Beacon Blog?

Yes. Beacon Blog still records you and turns your speech into text on your iPhone. Instead of a written post, you get a clean transcript, split into paragraphs with a title, that you can edit, copy and share. Writing a full post needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later). If your iPhone supports it, turn it on in Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri, then open your transcript and tap Write my post.

The app can’t hear me.

Beacon Blog needs microphone access to record. Open the iPhone Settings app, tap Apps, then Beacon Blog, and turn on Microphone.

Where are my posts stored?

On your iPhone, in the app’s private storage. There’s no account and nothing is uploaded. If you back up your iPhone, your posts are included in that backup.

How do I delete everything?

In Beacon Blog, open Settings and choose Delete all posts and recordings, then confirm. Every post, recording, transcript and audio file is erased from your iPhone. This can’t be undone. To delete a single post, open it and choose Delete post.

How do I get my post out of the app?

Open the post and tap the share button. You can copy it as Markdown, copy it with formatting to paste into your blog editor, share a Markdown file, or save it to Files.
