Terms of use

The first section is the one that matters, and it is the shortest: this is a log, not a monitor, and it is not a medical device.

Last updated 16 October 2026.

Not medical advice

Beacon Baby is a log, not a monitor. It records what you enter and reports it back. It does not interpret that information, does not tell you whether anything is normal, and does not compare your child to anyone else. It is not a medical device and must not be used to diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions. If you have any concern about your child's health, contact a qualified healthcare professional. Do not delay doing so because of anything you see, or do not see, in this app.

Your data is your responsibility

Entries live on your device. If you lose the device, reset it, or delete the app without sharing switched on, the log is gone — we hold no copy and cannot recover it. With sharing on, a copy is kept for your family and the other phones in it keep theirs, but we do not restore logs on request. Back it up from the Trends tab if the record matters to you.

Subscriptions

Beacon Baby is free to use for logging. Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Any unused portion of a free trial, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple, not from us, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

No warranty

Beacon Baby is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from its use, including loss of data.
